Leadership development through outdoor adventure
Leadership development through outdoor adventure
Boy Scout Troop 154 has been a part of the Goldens Bridge community since the 1950s. Our chartering organization is the Goldens Bridge Fire Department. Our meeting place is John Jay High School. In fact, the Goldens Bridge Fire Department was the first fire department in the state of New York to charter a Boy Scout Troop.
Our Troop is part of the Greater Hudson Valley Council – Croton River District. Our Troop focuses on leadership skills, pioneering, survival skills, backpacking, orienteering, winter camping, fishing, cooking, and other life skills. It's a boy-run program with a cycle of experienced scouts helping new scouts, and the new and experienced scouts working together as a team. There's plenty of adventure with monthly campouts, Camporees, Florida Seabase trips, Maine High Adventure, summer camp in the Adirondacks, and more. We have had many scouts achieve Eagle rank.
Troop 154 promotes individual leadership skills as well as teamwork. On this website, you'll find the information you need to get started, or to fill you in with helpful info.
